More Secret Facts About Family Guy








100th Episode Whether you love or hate it, everybody knows Family Guy. On its special 100th episode, Seth Macfarlane decided to interview some haters. The joke being on them that while they were sharing their complaints none of them realized they were actually speaking to the show's creator.

Meg's Father Meg might not be a Griffin. In the episode Screwed the Pooch, Peter says that if he were half the dad that Brian is he would know certain things about his kids. One of them being that "Meg's real father is..." Brian answers, "Stan Thompson." Meg misses the whole thing of course, as she was listening to her headphones.









Banned In Numerous Countries Family Guy is so polarizing it has whole countries drinking Haterade. The series is banned in Indonesia, Taiwan, Iran, Vietnam, Egypt, South Korea, South Africa, India, Phillipines, Malaysia, and China









Meg is Short For Meg is not short for Megan, but Megatron. Meg reveals in the episode "A Fistful of Meg" that her father changed her birth certificate to "Megatron" after Lois, her mother, had already chosen Megan









The Life of Larry We all have to start somewhere. In 1995, while still in college, Seth MacFarlane created The Life of Larry for his animation thesis. It was an animated short about a man and his talking dog. Four years later, Family Guy was created about a man, his family, and their talking dog. Sounds familar.












Is Stewie Original Is Stewie Griffin a rip-off? Stewie shares many similarities with the Jimmy Corrigan character in Chris Ware's graphic novel, Jimmy Corrigan: the Smartest Kid on Earth. Seth MacFarlane said that he had never seen the comic strip before, described the similarities as "pretty shocking" and said that he could see how Ware would reach that conclusion.









Why They Abuse Meg Poor Meg is just a female character in man made world. Seth MacFarlane is quoted saying that the abuse of Meg is due to "a bunch of male writers not knowing how to write for a teenage girl".
